Thank you for stopping in!
I am a fully licensed professional counselor (LPC) with the State of Michigan. I am EMDR trained and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) Certified. I am also a certified LPCC supervisor in the State of Michigan.
I work with teens, adolescents, and adults with adjustment, anxiety, trauma, depressive disorders, and more.
For over 20 years, I have worked in the Human Service field. Before starting my private practice my career began with the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan, serving victims of violent crime in Indian Country followed by working for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Michigan as a Victim Specialist. Most recently, I worked with Northern Michigan Alliance for Children implementing program development while providing therapy to crime victims. My work also includes service with Michigan Alliance Against Hate Crimes, local Sexual Assault Response Teams, and as a former Human Rights Committee member.
When I’m not challenging negative thought patterns, I like to spend my time in the sunshine, riding bikes or in a kayak, fishing. Humor is my favorite coping strategy and I find joy in the ordinary. I’m so glad you dropped by for a visit.
